Jason Bloomingburg - Assistant Coach

Assistant Coach Jason Bloomingburg played three seasons with the Tornado from 1999 through 2002. In his 103 career games, he recorded 49 goals and 36 assists. In his final season he was elected to the NAHL Second Team and was selected team MVP. Bloomingburg moved on to college hockey after his junior hockey career. As a freshman, he played at Providence College but then moved to Wayne State of the College Hockey America Conference. In his sophomore season he set a team record for goals, scoring 20 of them in 2004-2005. He served as the team captain for 3 years at Wayne State.

After college, Bloomingburg signed with the Alaska Aces of the East Coast Hockey League. He later played for the Pensacola Ice Pilots and the Augusta Lynx of the ECHL before a back injury prevented him from playing.
