This is J.D. Howard's first season with the Texas Tornado. Howard started playing hockey at the age of three. Howard, also known as "Howie" to many teammates, says his most memorable hockey moment is going to the 2008 Nationals in Buffalo. Howard's favorite NHL team is the Pittsburgh Penguins, and his hockey idol is Mark Messier.

When not playing hockey, Howard enjoys playing the guitar. His favorite type of music is rock and his favorite artist is Incubus. Howard's favorite food is pasta, and you will find him chicken fingers in the arena this season. They are his favorite arena food. His goals in life are to stay healthy and be successful.
