This is Brendan Bandyk's first season with the Texas Tornado. Bandyk started playing hockey at the age of four and says Brad Layzell, Bruno Bragagnolo, and the Chicago Young Americans organization have been the most influential part of his hockey development. Bandyk says his most memorable hockey moment is playing in a tournament in Sweden. Bandyk's favorite NHL team is the Chicago Blackhawks and his hockey idol is Dino Cicerelli.

Besides playing hockey, Bandyk enjoys fishing, softball and street hockey. He enjoys listening rock music and says his favorite artists are Pearl Jam and the Dave Matthews Band. Bandyk's favorite food is chicken and you will find him eating nachos in the arena this season. Bandyk hopes to play hockey as long as he can.
