USHL Scouts to be at Motor City Cup

The United States Hockey League (USHL) has announced that they will have scouts in attendance at the games of the Motor City Cup during September 11-13. They are also co-sponsors of the MVP award that will be given out at each game of the tournament.

The USHL is a big supporter of Midget AAA hockey as this level of hockey is a major feeder into the league. There are currently 108 active USHL alumni playing in the NHL and 191 Division 1 NCAA commitments.

All players, coaches, and parents have also been invited to attend one of the several informational seminars that will be conducted by Commissioner E.T. Prince, Manager of Hockey Operations Tony Gill, and several scouts. The seminars will cover the topics of:

  • Steps to becoming a USHL player
  • The benefits of playing the USHL
  • Coaches of the USHL
  • A day in the life of a USHL player
  • Opportunities available after the USHL

18U Players Called Out to Frisco

Members of the 18U squad got a chance to suit up with the Junior Tornado team on Thursday night in front of the Open House crowd at Dr Pepper Arena in Frisco.
